The size of the team is what marks us out as a unique act in the air show world. Using 6 charismatic russian designed aerobatic machines we can fill the sky at any airshow with a constantly changing kaleidoscope of smoke, noise and tumbling aircraft. Seafront and airfield displays are our speciality, utilising the airspace to dramatic effect, however the manoeuverability of the YAK 50 means that smaller, more intimate shows can benefit from even greater visual impact. For very small sites, or for those shows on a limited budget, a shorter, 4 aircraft show can be offered.
The Aerostars pilots are a group of enthusiasts from varied backgrounds who have been flying together as a team for well over a decade. Each pilot holds a UK Civil Aviation Authority display licence which is re-issued each year only after the pilot has demonstrated his competence as a team member to fly a safe show. Although not all of our flyers are professional aviators, they all have extensive display experience and many hours logged flying our chosen mount, the mighty russian YAK.
